Find Recycling Centres

Friarton Recycling Centre

Friarton Rd, Perth PH2 8DF, UK – 01738 476476

Clean and tidy. Lots of recycling options. Staff are helpful.

Very well kept site. Found the staff to be kind and helpful.

The Bike Station

284 High St, Perth PH1 5QS, UK – 01738 444430

Can't recommend these lads enough! I drove down from Inverness basically just to get my bike sorted at the Bike Station. I was quoted crazy prices in Inverness as the part had to be ordered from Rockshox. My bike is not worth three grand and I wasn't going to pay £85 for a small piece of plastic. The lads at the Shop in Perth fixed it with an old gear lever, cost me £20 and they did a load of other stuff too. My only complaint is that there's no shop in Inverness. They were friendly, quick and cheap!

If you got a problem with your bike, then make the Bike Station your first port of call. I looked for somewhere in Dundee and there was nothing, so if you're in the DD area with a bike problem and you've the means to shift it, then it's worth a quick trip up the dual carriageway. Great crack and great service...

Perth & Kinross Council - Friarton Depot

Friarton Depot, Friarton Road, Perth PH2 8DF, UK – 01738 477120

Friendly staff, I can see an opportunity for 'be green' Huge buildings for sun collectors. I'm surprised council can't see the opportunity of that.

Is this the tip? If so it's a top notch tip. Not sure if anywhere else has a recycling and waste disposal centre on par was Perths.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
